The Psychology of the Listener

Radio is designed to appeal to humans...and that's a bit of a problem; because humans are complex organisms that boast - in most cases - higher level thinking than ordinary animals. This makes our job a lot harder because it makes humans irrational, emotional, temperamental and judgmental. It also makes it more difficult to find something that will have general appeal. However, having said that there are certain things humans have in common with each other. If you know what that is you know how to make them want to listen to you.
