The Philosophy of Powerful Radio

Radio, like any other industry has changes and has to embrace those changes otherwise it will never develop. However there are certain things that shouldn't change in radio, and those are the central tenets to what keeps radio a noble pursuit. Many would say, and I would tend to agree, that the myopic pursuit of profit in radio as a business threatens to derail the reason that most on-air staff got into radio in the first place, and risks stripping radio as an entertaining and educating medium of its nobility.

In this section we deal with some of the central principles of radio that should not only be adhered to but internalised in order to lay a foundation for powerful radio.
